Worshiping God with His Gifts

In the last couple of week’s I’ve been blessed to be served communion by my youngest son, to see my  daughter-in-law lead the praise team, and to hear my oldest son play a beautiful guitar lead during worship.  All three experiences brought me to tears.  I couldn’t help but feel that my response only just hinted at the joy our Father feels when He sees His children worshiping and serving Him in and through gifts and talents He created.

I found myself marveling at how they were worshiping Him with the gifts He had provided and how I was worshiping Him with them, the gifts He has provided me.  More and more I am realizing how He returns so very much more than we can ever imagine, every time we offer Him anything.  Whatever He asks, He first provides–and then returns more than we can begin to offer.

“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap.”  Luke 6:38

He’s a good, good Father.
